hi richard great work your photos are fab!! ive been checking out your photos ive been trying to track down some photos you took of my kids at the borris horse fair 2009 my little boy holding a hammer white shirt waiscoat and paddy hat on him my little girl was there aswell selling dolls i think u bought one off us for a friend any way there is a photo in your album with a girl wearing purple dress standing in front of white door she was also with our group but this is the only photo i could find couldnt find the ones of the kids would love to hear from you thank u kathleen kathleenf@live.ie xx

I remember seeing a documentary on RTE above 10-15 years ago with this man in it.

It had something to do with he retiring and closing his corner shop. His wife was in it also.

Does anyone remember this? I have seen him over the last number of years, seemingly getting older.

He always carried himself well, and seemed a gentle sort.

is this the only reply folks i hope not we need to speak up with our views, or decisions may be made yet again on our behalf again, just look at the redress and the time limit, now some poor survivors are to loose out either because it took time to protect their families and friends especially themselves or they never knew as not every one listens or reads the news, or some like me were very scared altogether as we always lived in fear.
if there is to be a fund please make it known how a fund can help you personally or someone else will decide for you.

why is it when i look at the eyes of both government and religeous orders i constantly see the same thing, pretending to be concerned, acting concerned,showing concern. the question still remains are they just concerned how much it will cost them to actually do the right thing like support the survivors properly in their everyday lives. such as housing, welfare payments, health, family affairs and so on. they say about setting up A memorial, or musium. well they took the best part of our lives away destroyed the rest but will they cover the cost of the final day when we pass away and a patch of green we can call our resting place. the true CONCERN is still COST. but we payed everything we had now we are CONCERNED for our future.

I fondly remember George Parnell’s barber shop. You can make out the picture of CS Parnell on the backwall. This is a wonderful photo. Mr. Parnell was a great character full of old stories about the past.
